NAR has been nominated as a finalist of ICCA

We are pleased to announce that our project to deploy TETRA at major international airports in Japan has been selected as a finalist of ICCA in the category "Best Use of Critical Communications in Transport".
The ICCA is the world's most prestigious awards presented by The Critical Communications Association (TCCA) to companies and organizations that have made significant achievements in the implementation and development of communication systems for public safety and transportation. This year, NAR was nominated as a finalist in the Best Use of Critical Communications in Transport category out of 15 categories.
This category is specifically for outstanding use cases in transportation, and five organizations were nominated as finalists, including airports in the UK and railroads in Sri Lanka. NAR's efforts to deploy TETRA at four major airports in Japan were also highly evaluated, and the company was nominated as a finalist.
As a telecommunications operator specializing in airports, NAR has been providing highly reliable airport radio services for more than 40 years, and since 2016 has been upgrading its airport MCA radio systems at Narita International Airport, Naha Airport, Central Japan International Airport, and Kansai International Airport to the international standard TETRA, greatly improving call quality and reliability. In addition to that, NAR have constructed an inter-airport network that will be effective in times of disaster. In addition, NAR developed the ST-7000, a portable wireless terminal that reflects the opinions of airport staff, jointly with Motorola Solutions, and deployed it at each airport. Its compact design and performance have been highly evaluated by users.
NAR, as a provider of important information communication infrastructure for smooth airport operations and in times of disaster, will continue to work toward the future, not only to ensure stable service operations, but also to add value, including the introduction of new wireless technologies.
